TOP:   March 23, 2012 - Jason Smith plows into Blake Griffin.  A day later, Smith is suspended 2 games for what Stu Jackson, NBA Executive Vice President Basketball Operations, deemed “excessive contact with the upper body of Griffin.”

BOTTOM: May 15, 2012 - Dwyane Wade barrels into Darren Collison.  Unlike Griffin, Collison never saw Wade, who shoved the Indiana PG from behind.  Wade, like Smith, made no basketball play.  Collison did not have the ball.  Wade extended his forearm, pushing Collison underneath the basket.

Given the ruling on Smith, Wade should absolutely be suspended at least one game.  Unfortunately, as we all know by now, David Stern is a crook, and the league values Dwyane and the Heat far more than Jason and the Hornets.

The child life experience was very fun.  I used to be part of the child life team as an undergraduate at the UCLA mattel children’s hospital and this experience was essentially the same awesome-ness. I really enjoyed playing with the children and sort of “de-stress”ing from regular med school activities. I’m glad I got to hold and feed a baby too. In terms of reflecting, I wish I could have done some child life volunteering as a first or second year med student. I’m pretty disappointed b/c as a first year medical student I asked if there were any volunteer opportunities to play with kids and/or hold babies and nobody in the questionable administration could point me in the right direction. These kids are so resilient and just make me smile so much. I just feel so blessed to be able to hang out with them.

my “reflection” paragraph.. gawd i hate it when med skool wants me to reflect on stupid stuff.. i’m introverted.. i reflect enough in my head.. and i’m terrible with my words.. this is the kind of crap you get with my reflections..

I bought these for my birthday from the ae 2 for $200 deal. I tried to get these in firsts (it was on the list of available shoes) but the sales person sent me seconds and there is an annoying depression on the captoe.. slightly disappointed

Sharp as Teeth and Stars: Thank you Vice President Biden

absurdlakefront:

Thank you Joe!

No matter how cynical or inspiring you find President Obama’s “coming out” for same sex marriage, it is a step in the long march toward justice. I would like to thank Vice President Biden’s honesty for forcing this issue, as I do not believe President Obama would have claimed…

Why can’t med skool library be like the law skool library? We are the ones with depression and suicidal predispositions
